So long, Fat Cats. There’s a better way to do business.

It’s time to say goodbye to businesses that pursue profit at all costs. When businesses take responsibility for their impact and lead with integrity, they help to build a world where people, the planet, and communities don’t just survive — they thrive.

Every choice matters, so choose a better business to buy from, work for, or lead, and help shape a better world for everyone.

Every decision you make matters.

With over one million people now working for Certified B Corporations around the world, the size of this movement shows that better business is here to stay. The number of B Corps continues to grow every day, reflecting a growing dissatisfaction with the current system and a collective desire for businesses that are purpose-led and demonstrate care for people and the planet.

The B Corp movement is becoming more visible, showing what it stands for: people using business as a force for good.

You don’t have to lead a company or work for a B Corp to be part of this movement for change. We all make choices in our daily lives that have an impact on the world around us. The Certified B Corporation mark helps us to choose and use goods and services more consciously. When you choose to buy from a company that is certified as a B Corp, you're backing a business that’s committed to considering all stakeholders, not only shareholders. You’re supporting a better way to do business.

B is for progress

Progress means raising the bar, not once — but again and again. Being a B Corp isn’t about being perfect or chasing short-term wins. It involves taking progressive actions with an eye to the future, and making better choices now so that today’s profits don’t become tomorrow’s problems.

B is for people

At the heart of every Certified B Corporation is a simple belief: business should benefit all. That means everyone, from employees and suppliers to customers and communities. B Corps are committed to fair pay. Inclusive workplaces.Transparent supply chains. Decisions that consider how people are affected. Because when people thrive, business thrives too.

B is for transparency

B Corps open more than just doors. Firstly, they volunteer to undertake a holistic review of their business through the independent B Impact assessment. B Corps also commit to being accountable to their stakeholders and to recertifying as a B Corp every three years. Part of this includes transparently publishing their B Corp impact profile, revealing how they perform and where they can improve on the global B Corp directory, available for all to see.

B is for fairness

All B Corps sign a declaration that includes recognising that through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should aspire to do no harm and benefit all. Fairness is therefore central to B Corp decision-making, from how workers are paid to how suppliers are treated. It means striving for equity, opportunity, and respect for all.

B is for purpose

A clear and guiding business purpose is the driving force behind every B Corp. It’s about more than making money — it’s about making a difference. B Corps make a legal commitment to a business purpose that delivers a social benefit alongside profit, and to considering the interests of all stakeholders — not only shareholders — in their decision-making. Because in a B Corp, profit fuels purpose — and purpose shapes everything.

B is for equity

Equity isn’t a checkbox or a throwaway line in a policy. It’s key to doing better business. It’s an active commitment to dismantling systemic barriers to participation in our society and economy. That’s what B Corps are working towards every day — creating a more level playing field, not just within the four walls of the individual business, but across industries, regions, and communities.
